Climate Action in Oregon: New Resilience Plan for the Public Health System

Emily York, MPH, of Oregon Health Authority will present the state’s new climate resilience plan. She will be discussing recommendations for climate change strategies that emerged from a statewide stakeholder engagement process.

Strategies for Implementing Public Health Nutrition and Physical Activity Programs through the Life Span
This self-paced training series includes five training courses that describe strategies and tools for implementing public health-oriented nutrition and physical activity programs at various stages in the life cycle. Included in this suite of courses are the following trainings: Best practices in nutrition programs for infants; Childhood obesity programs: Comparative effectiveness of interventions; Adolescent obesity prevention in the US; Strategies for implementing public health nutrition and physical activity programs for adults; and Hawaii elderly evidence based health promotion programs.
Stock Albuterol Inhaler Training for School Personnel
Log in to learn with TRAIN for this e-learning course on the stock albuterol inhaler program. The training was developed to assist in teaching school staff about asthma and administration of the stock albuterol inhaler and provides mandatory training for school personnel designated to administer the stock albuterol inhaler. Recognizing and intervening in a respiratory distress event, and the basic pathophysiology of asthma and identify potential asthma triggers will also be discussed.
