About the Annual NNPHI Conference
Since 2001, the Annual NNPHI Conference is the only national meeting that supports and highlights the work of the nation’s public health institutes. NNPHI members lead conference programming that explores fresh concepts and strategies for supporting healthy communities at the local, state, and federal levels.
The NNPHI Annual Conference has been postponed.
COVID-19 Update from NNPHI (As of 3.17.2020)
As a responsible national public health organization, the NNPHI Board of Directors unanimously agree to do our part and contribute to mitigating the spread of COVID-19 by postponing our 2020 NNPHI Annual Conference scheduled for May 19th – 22nd in New Orleans. While we will sorely miss being together as a network in just a few shorts weeks, the need for an ‘all hands on deck’ approach is paramount to protecting the public’s health; and we’re united in this effort.
Postponing the conference will also amplify the full force of our nation’s public health response as our network members and our partners at every level of government will remain in dedicated work mode in their respective organizations, states, territories, communities, and tribes. We must band together to reduce the impact of this outbreak by addressing health inequities so that we meet the immediate and long-term needs of individuals and communities most vulnerable.
We’d like to offer registrants the option to receive a refund or credit your registration payment toward the rescheduled meeting. We are working with the registration provider on these options and will follow up with you as soon as possible.
Flights: We know that many of you have already booked your flights. We encourage you to contact the airline directly to request a refund or credit to be used for a future flight. If NNPHI is reimbursing you for your flight, and you are unable to secure a refund or credit, please do reach out to us.
Lodging: If you requested overnight accommodations at the JW Marriott through the registration site, we will cancel your reservation on your behalf. You will be responsible for cancelling any reservations outside of the JW Marriott.
We are so thankful to our conference planning committee and to everyone who has submitted outstanding abstracts. We will do our best to leverage these gifts when the time is right.
