Led by the Public Health Learning Network (PHLN), this National Association of County and City Health Officials’ Annual Meeting Sharing Session explored findings and implications from local and national training needs assessments and learn how local health departments can engage and leverage the PHLN to enhance public health practice and advance health equity.

Learning Objectives:

• Demonstrated how to use the PHLN’s resources and relationships to enhance public health practice
• Shared a case study illustrating how the New York State Association of County Health Officials (NYSACHO)—a Region 2 local performance site—developed a training plan that grounds public health practitioners in concepts and strategies for taking action on health inequities
• Showed how to access training needs assessment results according to specific needs

This presentation was part of a collaborative effort between the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Training (NCCPHT), HRSA Region II Region 2 Public Health Training Center (Region 2 PHTC), and NYSACHO, the Region II local performance site (LPS).
