Live webinar on February 8: This webinar will discuss the work of Human Impact Partners (HIP) and our theory of change which centers power and building power to create health for all. We will look at two initiatives of HIP — the Health Instead of Punishment Program and Public Health Awakened. These initiatives are calling on the field of public health to look beyond traditional health indicators and focus on health equity and building power while aligning ourselves with social justice movements. Data Boot Camp: Best Practices for Collecting, Identifying, Interpreting and Visualizing Determinants of Health

In-person training on March 11: This day-and-a-half immersive training will take participants through the steps of collecting and using data to assess determinants of health, whether for a Community Health Assessment or any community project where data plays a role. Beginning with a question or questions about community health, participants will learn to evaluate existing data sources, collect new community-level data and make data easier to interpret by creating clear, engaging visualizations. In-person training on April 4: The most effective teams build from their strengths and can both adapt and thrive in today’s changing public health landscape. Using the CliftonStrengths® tool, participants in this one-day workshop will explore their personal strengths and will reflect on how these strengths can benefit their teams.
