FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: Strategic Leadership in DMI Efforts (SLIDE) RFQ

The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) invites qualified facilitators and trainers to develop and deliver content for the  Strategic Leadership in DMI Efforts (SLIDE) program. SLIDE is a cohort-based initiative designed to enhance the capacity of public health professionals to plan, manage, and implement data modernization initiatives (DMI). This program integrates leadership development, strategic planning, and collaboration skills with a focus on health equity, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement.

The program, running from March to July 2025, comprises biweekly virtual training sessions and monthly office hours. Four thematic modules—Leadership, Strategic Planning, DMI Sustainability, and Collaborative Engagement—guide participants through key areas of DMI implementation and leadership. The initiative concludes with a reflective session in July 2025 to discuss project outcomes and sustainability strategies.

NNPHI seeks a facilitator to oversee the series and trainers to deliver specific modules. Facilitators will manage participant engagement, moderate discussions, and provide feedback. Trainers will create and present session content, facilitate interactive learning, and contribute to program refinement.

Funding is available up to $10,000 for facilitators and $3,000 per session for trainers. Applications, including a CV, proposed training approach, and references, must be submitted via Smartsheet by January 8, 2025. This opportunity is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) through the Strengthening U.S. Public Health Infrastructure, Workforce, and Data Systems grant.
