The Public Health Improvement Training (PHIT) will feature a series of hands-on, skill-building workshops and purposeful networking on public health performance improvement. This event will feature a one-and-a-half-day in-person convening on May 20th & 21st, 2024, in New Orleans, Louisiana,  and a virtual event on June 3-5, 2024.

In 2023, PHIT brought together almost 200 in-person and over 1,000 health department leaders, professionals, and experts from national and federal levels as well as local, tribal, territorial, state, and regional levels to explore all aspects of public health performance improvement.  PHIT 2024 will offer both in-person and virtual options. A one-and-a-half-day Mini PHIT, offering hands-on workshops and networking sessions, will be held in person on May 20th and 21st, 2024, in New Orleans and will be co-located with NNPHI’s Annual Conference. The full three-day PHIT experience will then be held virtually June 3-5, 2024. All content offered at the in-person Mini PHIT will also be offered during the virtual PHIT.

PHIT has been recognized year after year for offering interactive and practical training with specific tips, real-world scenarios, and application exercises. PHIT’s success is largely based on skilled facilitators who are willing to share their expertise and guide workshop participants through interactive application exercises. Workshop submissions should be geared towards building practical skills, increasing knowledge, and sharing effective resources.
