Anna Guryan is a Program Associate with the National Coordinating Center for Public Health Training (NCCPHT) at the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI). In this role, she provides administrative support to the members of the Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) team. Additionally, she provides project support and assistance with training and technical assistance requests, performance reporting, meeting facilitation, and other areas as needed.

Anna graduated from Clemson University in May of 2020 with a B.S in Health Science. After taking several courses related to the social determinants of health and social justice, she discovered a drive to make lasting change in the world and ensure that everyone has a fair and just opportunity to be healthy. After graduating, Anna worked in HIV prevention outreach at a federally qualified health center. This role further solidified her desire and dedication to improving the health outcomes for historically marginalized communities, especially POC and LGBTQ+ communities. She then moved to a role as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). Through her work at SCDHEC, she found a passion for driving change on a system-wide level rather than an individual level.

The mission and vision of NNPHI aligns fully with Anna’s passion to create meaningful, lasting change in the American health care system to address the disparities faced by underserved and marginalized communities. She is excited about the opportunities working on the Public Health Infrastructure Grant will present to drive health equity on a national scale. Outside of work, she loves reading anything fantasy-based, going to the gym, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
