Join the Public Health Performance Improvement Network (phPIN) for our November webinar with Heather Foley, BSN, RN, accreditation coordinator and public health nursing supervisor for Richland Public Health.

Change is constant, inevitable, and the only path to progress. It is central to many public health practice standards, from strategic planning to quality improvement. Common change management challenges include complacency, culture, and sustainability. How can we effectively lead teams to achieve transformative public health improvements? In this webinar, we will explore a local health department’s accreditation journey through the lens of a change management methodology – the Kotter 8-step process for leading change.

By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Identify the eight stages of the Kotter change management methodology.
• List at least two avoidable causes of waste when implementing change.
• Describe at least three change management methods used during Richland Public Health’s initial accreditation journey.
