Multisector Partnerships

Operationalizing multi-sector partnership to improve population health

About the Project

The purpose of the Multisector Partnerships project was to fund a pilot program focused on implementation of already existing evidence-based public health best practices in sectors other than public health. In partnership with CDC and with member institute Georgia Health Policy Center serving as lead project implementor and Subject Matter Expert, NNPHI supported the design and pilot of a virtual policy implementation lab focused on increasing uptake of the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Our Work

Multisector coalitions already formed and working to improve population health were recruited to participate in the virtual policy implementation lab where they heard from CDC SMEs, participated in peer-to-peer learning, and received one-on-one TA
designed to build capacity to implement health-promoting policy and to identify and address barriers to increasing EITC uptake in their communities. Project partners and participants collaborated to identify with more specificity the resources needed to
implement this known health-promoting policy. The seven month curriculum was entirely virtual.

Our Impact

The virtual policy implementation lab pilot concluded in Spring 2021 with participating coalitions sharing outcomes and reflections on their work and its impact on increasing EITC uptake in their communities. Click here to read the final report.
