Collaborating with Public Health and Other Vested Stakeholders to Prevent Opioid Abuse, Misuse, and Overdose in Unfunded States

Develop Statewide Action Plans for Opioid Overdose Prevention in Unfunded States.

About the Prevention of Opioid Abuse, Misuse, and Overdose in Unfunded States

In collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, NNPHI is focusing on, and working with, five states currently unfunded by the Overdose Prevention in States (OPIS) effort. NNPHI members Health Resources in Action and the Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago are providing technical assistance to stakeholder coalitions in each state to create statewide action plans for addressing opioid overdose prevention.
