Data Science and Leadership Programs and Curriculum
Public health education offerings have grown and changed over the years. The workforce has been challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic, rapid technological advancements and shifts in governmental structures and funding mechanisms. Additionally, the education pathways have experienced changes in adapting to the current needs of the field and virtual learning capabilities. Through the Public Health Leadership and Education, Advancing Health Equity and Data Science (PH LEADS) program, NNPHI is delving into the academic domains of data science and leadership.
Program and Curriculum Scan
The NNPHI is pleased to present a comprehensive overview of public health programs and curricula focused on data science and leadership. This overview highlights our findings from a comprehensive curriculum scan, tailored specifically for academic professionals involved in these programs. The infographics offer an analysis of key insights of Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accredited and non-CEPH accredited programs, and emerging trends and gaps in educational offerings within this field.

Mapping Data Science and Leadership Programs
We have integrated ArcGIS maps to provide a detailed view of both CEPH and non-CEPH accredited institutions that feature data science and leadership programs. This tool offers a nationwide perspective on where academic data science and leadership offerings are, helping identify potential areas for collaboration, development and growth. By presenting this information, we aim to enhance understanding and foster innovation in data science and leadership education.
