Grants and Contracts Officer
Kathryn Conyers is the Grants and Contracts Officer for the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI). In this role, she manages, reviews, and negotiates agreements in accordance with funding requirements or regulations across all NNPHI portfolios. Additionally, she implements contract management solutions and collaborates closely on agreements with NNPHI’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant Data Modernization Infrastructure team.
Kathryn holds an undergraduate degree in Finance from North Carolina A&T State University, a law degree from the University of Wisconsin, and post-baccalaureate coursework in Pre-medicine and Mathematics. Passionate about fitness and athletics, she is interested in how human and social systems—such as health, finance, education, and data—affect the human body and goal attainment. Her interest in health law and public health grew when she studied abroad at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, taking courses on human rights, international trade law, and health law.
Before joining NNPHI, Kathryn worked in graduate medical education administration and contract administration at Tulane University’s School of Medicine, Sponsored Projects Administration, and Office of the General Counsel. Her current role allows her to combine her expertise in legal, finance, and academic medicine administration.
In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys spending time with family and friends, laughing, watching movies, reading dystopian fiction, working out, and enjoying smoothie bowls.
