Carmelita Marrow is the Senior Director of Communications and Convening at the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPH). In this role Carmelita brings communications skills and strategic meeting management expertise spanning over 20 years.

Carmelita believes communication is the key to success. Everyone in an organization has a communications role. Carmelita has a passion for convening groups of people to learn, connect and share experiences and information. Whether we convene face-to-face or virtually, convening allows humans to cross-pollinate.

Before joining NNPHI, Carmelita led a stellar team as Vice President of Meeting Services at EMCVenues for eight years, where she provided management, leadership, and support for all Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded meetings. She has proven abilities in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, savings/cost avoidance, and return on investment reporting. She provides expert-level execution in key areas of strategic meeting and event planning, including attendee technologies, risk mitigation, project and budget oversight, as well as supplier and client relationship management. Carmelita attended the University of North Carolina, Asheville.
