Mitigating SARS-CoV-2 Transmission in Hispanic and Latino Communities-Prince William Health District, Virginia, June 2020

This study conducted three different approaches to identifying disparities to the Hispanic community in Prince Williams Health District, Virginia. In June 2020, the team conducted a quantitative study of Hispanic residents, key informant interviews of local leaders, and focus group discussions with Hispanic community members to identify factors contributing to disparities. Results found that certain factors greatly impacted the Hispanic participants of this study — factors such as limited awareness of COVID-19 resources and difficulty implementing prevention practices due to work conditions and large household numbers.
