A Biopsychosocial and Interprofessional Approach to the Treatment of Family and Intimate Partner Violence: It Takes a Village

This article describes an interprofessional, biopsychosocial approach to integrating services for survivors of family and intimate partner violence (FIPV) in a healthcare setting. The approach is based on a medical-legal partnership model with input from a community advisory board of individuals with lived expertise. The article describes successes, challenges and COVID-specific adaptations. The article features descriptive information about program participants, but does not include an evaluation component.
