Global Health Manager, American Public Health Association

Vina Hulamm, MS, is a global health leader with extensive experience advancing public health partnerships, leadership, and international collaboration. Based in Washington, DC, her work at the American Public Health Association focuses on expanding APHA’s global reach, fostering cross-sector partnerships, and advancing health equity through thoughtful, mission-driven engagement. She is recognized for her ability to connect stakeholders, support collaborative initiatives, and contribute to meaningful progress across the public health landscape. 

Vina holds active leadership roles across a range of global, regional and local public health partners. Within the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA), she serves as past chair of the Global Health Equity and Digital Technology Working Group and has contributed to the international planning committees for their previous World Congresses on Public Health held in Turkey, Ethiopia, India, and Rome. She also serves on the Board of the Alliance of Public Health Associations of the Americas (AASPA) and is a member of the Executive Committee for the Women in Global Health-DC chapter. 

Vina completed her doctoral coursework in public health leadership at the University of Illinois at Chicago and earned her master’s degree in global health from George Mason University. Her professional interests include public health leadership and the evolving role of digital technologies in public health, reflecting her commitment to advancing strategies and collaborative approaches that can create impact.
