Senior Health Policy Researcher and Analyst:
Trust for America’s Health (TFAH) seeks a Researcher and Analyst to manage public policy communications, including the research, writing and development of reports and other materials. Candidate must have strong research and critical analysis skills – including the ability to identify, evaluate and synthesize relevant and timely source material; exceptional communications and writing skills including the ability to summarize and clearly explain complex policy issues; and proficiency in managing/collating/interpreting significant amounts of public policy and health data. Qualitative and quantitative research capabilities are preferred. Must have demonstrated prior experience in developing and writing policy reports and/or briefing materials. Minimum five to 10 years of professional research and writing experience. Prior work experience in policy environments and MPP, MPA, JD or other advanced degree in relevant area are preferred.
Healthy Students, Promising Future Project Manager:
Trust for America’s Health (TFAH), seeks a Project Manager to lead the organization’s work on school health (a one-year grant funded position with the possibility of extension with additional funding). The major components of the work include organizing and implementing a learning collaborative for states, including in-person meetings and technical assistance via webinars, deployment of subject matter experts, establishment of state peer learning groups, and other methods; drafting related grant reports; and other activities related to school health, many conducted in partnership with an external partner organization. The Project Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree. A Masters’ degree in a field related to public health and at least five years of relevant policy experience in health and/or education is preferred, including substantive work experience in project management, school health, health services administration, federal or state healthcare policy, education, or any other field that equips the candidate to understand and effectively lead projects is preferred.
State Public Health Policy Project Manager:
Trust for America’s Health (TFAH), seeks a Project Manager to lead the organization’s work in implementing a 15 month initiative, supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and others, to promote the adoption and implementation of effective, evidence-based state public health policies. The Project Manager manages daily and recurring project activities related to the management of the initiative’s state public policy change efforts. The Project Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree. A Masters’ degree or substantive work experience in project management, state-level public health advocacy, state or federal healthcare policy development and analysis, or any other field that equips the candidate to understand and effectively lead projects is preferred.
