Katy Sandusky is the associate director of communications and marketing at the National Network of Public Health Institutes. In this role, she leads the communications team, programmatic communications, and helps execute NNPHI’s communications plan and outreach strategy.
She is a communications, marketing, and communications expert with national experience in disaster response, public health, and professional sports. She has led crisis communications for major events, including Hurricane Laura during COVID-19 with the American Red Cross, and strategic messaging for the launch of the CDC’s largest public health infrastructure grant.
Katy has extensive on-camera, spokesperson, storytelling and crisis communications experience. She has acted as an on-camera spokesperson for the American Red Cross, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the Baltimore Ravens.
She has a Bachelor of Communications degree and a Master of Business Administration.
