Jennifer Ventura

Program Associate

At NNPHI, I serve as a program associate on the Environmental Health and Emergency Preparedness team. In this role, I provide programmatic and communications support across a range of initiatives focused on building a stronger and more prepared public health workforce. My responsibilities include coordinating and developing outreach materials, supporting data collection, and managing engagement activities with partners and stakeholders.

I contribute directly to several key national initiatives, including our Public Health Leads project, a leadership development program that supports emerging public health professionals, and Project Firstline, CDC’s national training collaborative for infection prevention and control. In both projects, I help coordinate learning sessions, promote training opportunities, and assist with communications efforts such as content development to support public health professionals at all levels.

In addition, I play an active role in Public Health AmeriCorps, supporting member recruitment, onboarding, training logistics, and performance tracking. I also support the dissemination of program impact through social media strategy, resource development, and program outreach initiatives.

Before joining NNPHI, I earned a bachelor’s degree in public health with a concentration in global health and a minor in nutrition from George Mason University. I also bring previous experience in direct care from clinical health settings, where I supported patient care and emergency response. This background drives my continued commitment to strengthening national efforts in public health preparedness and workforce support.
