Helen Batts, MPH, is a senior program manager at the National Network of Public Health Institutes, where she has led cross-sector initiatives focused on injury prevention, including drug overdose and sexual violence prevention. Helen also supports planning and content selection for the National Conference on Tobacco or Health, the largest tobacco control conference in the U.S., and supports proactive technical assistance efforts through the CDC’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant to strengthen foundational capabilities across health departments. She brings a trauma-informed, developmentally aware lens to all her work, grounded in prior roles supporting survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and managing NIH-funded research on children’s oral health. Helen holds an MPH from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and a BA in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Asheville.
