Alberte Altiné-Gibson

Managing Director of Racial Equity Grantmaking

Alberte Altiné-Gibson serves as director for the Massachusetts Community Health and Healthy Aging Funds. Prior to joining Health Resources in Action, an NNPHI member public health institute, she worked at the Bowdoin Street Health Center (BSHC) where she was responsible for overseeing all community health related activities/projects addressing social determinants and grants management. She also worked for the Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC) as an Associate Director in the Division of Violence Prevention for 10 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies, Psychology and Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and her master’s degree in public administration from Suffolk University. She has more than 20 years of experience in grant writing, evaluation, strategic planning, racial justice and health equity, equitable community engagement, and program/curriculum development and implementation.
