Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago

Advancing health justice and strengthening public health through innovation and partnerships

The Public Health Institute of Metropolitan Chicago (PHIMC) believes that the greatest possibilities for public health are achieved when organizations work together to bridge gaps, leverage resources, and address oppressive policies that hurt people. PHIMC envisions systems that impact how we live, work, and play as compassionate, affirming, and racially equitable, supporting health and well‐being for all people.

Community reentry project

PHIMC’s Community Reentry Project (CRP) ensures people living with and at the highest risk for HIV transition smoothly from incarceration to communities. CRP facilitates a comprehensive system of HIV prevention, care, and support services throughout Illinois, and provides technical assistance and capacity-building support to agencies serving the corrections and reentry populations.
