The Missouri Public Health Institute is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that works with stakeholders and communities across Missouri to transform our public health system and create the conditions that lead to improved health outcomes for Missourians. Our goals include transforming the state’s public health system, advocating for good public health policy and expanding strategic partnerships to improve the health of all Missourians.
At the Missouri Public Health Institute, we believe public health is strongest when collaboration is at the center. Our close partnership with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services helps ensure that statewide priorities are supported by local action, and that local needs are elevated to state leadership. Working together allows us to share resources, align strategies, and amplify impact—so communities across Missouri benefit from a coordinated, responsive, and resilient public health system.
At the Missouri Public Health Institute, we know that public health is most effective when communities trust and engage with it. To better understand how Missourians feel about public health, we recently conducted the Missouri Public Health Trust Poll—and the results are both encouraging and insightful.
The Institute provides a diverse range of technical assistance to public health organizations, including state and local government agencies, to enhance their initiatives and support their ongoing work.
The Institute strengthens public health efforts statewide by assisting organizations throughout the grant writing process. We support preparation of funding applications as well as project management and evaluation to help achieve sustainable functions.
