The Institute for Public Health Innovation (IPHI) works with communities and organizations in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia to make public health better for everyone. IPHI works with different groups to make sure everyone has a fair chance at good health. By helping with training, planning, and programs, IPHI helps build better health systems and create healthier places to live.

Community health worker advancement

The Zhilphia “Zee” Turner Center for Community Health Workers (Zee Turner Center) is a regional center for excellence that advances community health worker workforce development and innovation.

IPHI is a nonprofit organization that works to improve health and well-being for people in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia. IPHI partners with local communities, governments, schools, and health organizations to develop programs that positively impact people’s lives. The primary goal is to ensure that everyone has a fair opportunity to live a healthy life.

One of the ways IPHI supports healthier communities is by providing training and technical help to health workers and organizations. IPHI also works on changing policies and systems to increase fairness and support health for all. This includes improving access to healthy food, safer housing, and immunization awareness.
