RM-PHTC's goal is to develop and support a high quality workforce that can continuously improve population health across DHHS Region VIII.
With the triple aim goal of population health improvement defined in the Affordable Care Act, RM-PHTC sees an especially important current opportunity to bring together the efforts of the public health and health care sectors in joint training to foster collaboration to improve population health. Staff at RM-PHTC aim to catalyze such partnerships across HHS Region VIII by developing and supporting active learning communities using modern communications methods to share best practices in a real-time, case-based learning mode. Although the RM-PHTC will develop and deliver high quality didactic training, RM-PHTC staff believe their greatest successes will derive from active learning and skill-based learning within learning networks using a combination of asynchronous and synchronous modern communications.
