Region VII Midwestern Public Health Training Center

Mission Statement

MPHTC's purpose is to ensure the current and future public health workforce has the knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the ongoing public health challenges of the 21st century. MPHTC is committed to working with its academic and practice partners across the region to create a culture of training and build sustainability in a dynamic environment that faces economic and workforce challenges.

Vision and Impact

The MPHTC's work includes continually assessing the training needs of the public health workforce; developing education and training programs to meet identified needs; implementing student-faculty collaborative projects and field placements with an emphasis on medically underserved populations, and; implementing evaluation systems to ensure continuous quality improvement and impact.
