The Region V PHTC works to develop a competent public health workforce with capacity to address community needs and improve population health outcomes. This is done through two key areas: training public health professionals and supporting student development.
The Region V PHTC focuses on leveraging collaborative partnerships, promoting interprofessional practice, linking to the research evidence-base, and systematically assessing training needs to provide responsive training to public health professionals and students. These efforts aim to have an impact on workforce development and its ability to improve population health outcomes.
