The American Cancer Society has an ambitious goal to achieve a 40% reduction in cancer mortality in the United States by 2035. If ACS is to achieve this goal, we must fight to achieve health equity, the just and fair opportunity for everyone to prevent, find, treat and survive cancer – regardless of how much money they make, the color of their skin, their sexual orientation, their gender identity, their disability status, or where they live.
The Health Equity Webinar Series is a free online webinar series designed to showcase dynamic work being accomplished to enhance health equity opportunities. This series discusses different innovative implementations, strategies, best practices, success stories, and experiences impacting health equity in communities served with public health professionals around the nation.
