Hurricane Ida Recovery Fund
The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) has partnered with the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI) to assist the public health workforce in Southeast Louisiana impacted by Hurricane Ida. With funding provided by the Kresge Foundation and Healthy Blue, NNPHI and LPHI has opened mini-grants to be awarded to local organizations directly serving the public health workforce.
NNPHI and LPHI will provide grants of up to $10,000 to organizations serving public health workers in Orleans, Jefferson, the River, and Bayou Parishes. Those organizations will then be able to provide stipends to public health workers to assist them in recouping unexpected expenses related to lodging, gas, food, and other evacuation-related supplies.
Grants applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis until funds are expended. Award notification begins on November 12th.
