The Georgia Health Policy Center at Georgia State University is an exciting place to work. The Georgia Health Policy Center is in long-lasting relationship with decision makers at the local, state and national policy making levels. These relationships create a natural learning lab for research, which the center offers to AYS and GSU faculty and students.

Assistant Project Director – #22000872

The APD serves as project manager for the work of multiple project teams to accomplish contract deliverables in a timely manner. The APD guides programmatic, administrative, and financial management of projects and coordinates client management across all projects. The APD will work directly with the director of the population and global health to provide team leadership and stewardship of GHPC resources to expand the center’s capacity in policy and program evaluations and health equity agenda.

The project coordinator (PC) is a member of multiple research, technical assistance, policy development, and programmatic teams depending on scope of work. This position will work with the Community Health Systems Development (CHSD) Team. This position is based in Atlanta.

Research Associate I – #22000883

The RA I is a contributing member of multiple research, evaluation, technical assistance, policy development, and programmatic teams. The RA I will provide research and project support that contributes to a scientifically sound background for center activities. In addition, the RA I will coordinate special projects as assigned by senior staff, facilitate meetings, and assist in the preparation, coordination, and dissemination of various GHPC research-related materials on mental health services for children and youth.

Research Associate II – #22000885

The RA II is a contributing member of the Community Health Systems Development (CHSD) team, which provides a broad range of technical assistance to communities as they implement health improvement initiatives and build locally and regionally integrated health systems. The work is anchored by multiple contracts with the Health Resources and Services Administration’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, with whom GHPC has had a more than 20-year relationship.

Research Associate II – #22000615

This RA II will work primarily on projects within the Health Systems portfolio’s health systems transformation sub team, including projects related to work with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Aligning Systems for Health 2.0 works with four communities to build community power as we learn how health care, public health, and social services can better meet the goals and needs of individuals and communities.

Research Associate II – #22000617

This RA II will work primarily on projects within the portfolio focusing on aging, disabilities, and long-term services and supports. Central to the center’s work in this portfolio is using a systems perspective to identify gaps in coordination between delivery systems and public agencies, focusing on sustainable solutions. Staff use a variety of quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis methods to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of programs and policies.

Marketing Manager – #22000868

The Marketing Manager is responsible for working with GHPC’s Center of Excellence, Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), and provider agencies to provide guidance and technical assistance to develop/facilitate consistent organizational branding, products, and communication strategies to enhance community engagement, sustainability, and increase the visibility of public behavioral health safety net services.

Business Manager I  #22000919

The Business Manager I works closely with the Assistant Director of Business Operations (ADBO) to provide support related to contracting, budgeting, invoicing, and documentation, as well as regulatory compliance with federal, state, and organizational funding requirements. The center’s current project portfolio includes health care reform, public and private insurance, children’s health and well-being, long-term services and supports, behavioral health, and the development of rural and urban health systems. The position works closely with internal staff as well as external consultants and clients.

The administrative specialist provides and manages administrative support for the Center of Excellence for Children’s Behavioral Health, providing support to team leads, senior research associates, research associates, communications and marketing staff, external consultants, and sub-contractors. This position reports directly to the senior advisor and/or senior research associate. The position works closely with internal staff as well as external consultants and clients.
