NNPHI is also a member of the NIAID HIV Vaccine Research Education Initiative (NHVREI) Network.
The NHVREI network was established to create an environment in which HIV affected communities and individuals are more aware, educated, and supportive of HIV vaccine research and have more positive attitudes towards participation in HIV vaccine clinical trials. NNPHI was selected to participate in NHVREI based on its extensive reach, through its members, to populations most affected by HIV/AIDS and connection to cities with an HIV Vaccine Trial Network such as Atlanta (GA), Chicago (IL), San Francisco and Oakland (CA), Nashville (TN), New York (NY), Philadelphia (PA) and Washington (DC), among others. Partners in the NHVREI network have access to small grants to build awareness and support of HIV vaccine research. To learn more, visit:
